By checking these points, you should be able to troubleshoot the issue of DWe Control not triggering other drum software effectively.
Please note that not all drum software can operate in standalone mode; some can only be used as plug-ins within a DAW. Check the manufacturer's documentation for specific details about the capabilities of your chosen drum software.
-
Verify Wireless Hub and Pairing:
Make sure the DrumLink Wireless Hub is recognized by DWe Control and ensure that all the drum set instruments are paired and visible in the left pane of DWe Control.
-
Select MIDI Map:
- In DWe Control, click the MIDI MAP button. Choose the appropriate MIDI map for the software you intend to use (e.g., SD3 for Superior Drummer, EZD2/3 for EZ Drummer, AD2 for Addictive Drums, SSD4/5 for Steven Slate Drums).
- Use the drop-down menu to make your selection.
- Click the CLOSE button after choosing.
-
Launch Chosen Software:
- Launch your chosen drum software in standalone mode if available.
Alternatively, if your drum software operates only as a plug-in (VST, AU, AAX), open your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software (e.g., ProTools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Cubase, Studio One). - Load the drum software as a plug-in within your DAW.
- Launch your chosen drum software in standalone mode if available.
