To get started with DWe, you will need the following software besides setting up your cymbals and drums.

Roland Cloud Manager:
Roland Cloud Manager allows you to create and manage a Roland Account, redeem Lifetime Keys and Membership, and access instruments, patches, and services. -
DW Soundworks™:
DW Soundworks is a powerful and versatile drum sound library designed to provide drummers with a wide range of high-quality samples and articulations. It includes the DWe Control app to connect (pair) your drums and cymbals. -
DWe Control (DWe Control is installed alongside DW Soundworks.) :
DWe Control is a software trigger control interface that allows you to manage and configure various aspects of drum and cymbal performance, calibration, and MIDI settings. Users can access and interact with DWe Control through an icon located on the menu bar (Mac), or the system tray (Windows).
Perform the steps below:
- Visit www.dwdrums.com/roland-cloud-manager and click on the link to download the Roland Cloud Manager.
- Follow the instruction to install.
- Launch the Roland Cloud Manager and sign in with your account.
If you have not yet created an account, click on "Sign up". - Select the dw filter from the load screen once you’re in Roland Cloud Manager.
- Click "Hardware Instruments" > "DWe".
- When the "Software dependencies required" dialog box appears, click "Accept."
- Click the download button of DW Soundworks.
- Install DW Soundworks.
- For Windows, follow the instructions to proceed with the installation.
- For Mac, silent installation is performed in the background.
- After DW Soundworks is installed, click "Accept" and restart your computer to ensure drivers are enabled.
- When the computer is restarted, the expansion pack resumes downloading.
Note that all of Soundworks requires approximately 70 GB of storage space for the whole bundle.
